|
|
Hi All,
As mentioned there is a 24 hour earth based catered event in the pipeline.
I now have details, however… For the event to go ahead I need genuine commitment, as the budget is tight on this due to the site & catering costs.
So…
Attendees will get: +1 Vitality, 4 Feats and 3 months downtime for their character.
I need to know numbers (I’m not asking for cash, just confirmation of you attendance) as I need a minimum of 20 people to make it even close to being viable.
Please leave a yes or no here with your name. I need to have confirmed numbers by 9:00 am on Monday 29th October (that is how long I have the site pre-booked without me giving them a deposit).
Once I know whether I have numbers, then I will confirm if the event will happen.
Cheers
Dave.

Also can I clarify this is primarily a social IC event. Things might well happen but
1) We will all be sitting down for an IC meal. Dress uniforms or smart civils.
2) We will not be machine gunning down waves of Jaffa. (Unless we get very drunk and they are invisible Jaffa) |

My question, can we come down on the Friday evening? Otherwise it means a 5ish hours drive on the Saturday morning...*yawn* and I'd have to check with Broz if he is willing to get up at 5am to do that.
If we can come down on Friday then yes, I'm in.
Otherwise it's a 'don't know' for now. _________________ Former CMO..

| Doesn't that Sunday make it a double-bubble for people attending stargate and sinergy? |

I'd also like to ask if the Friday evening can be worked in, because I also have to travel down from notts and it'll be bloody awkward for me to get there..
Other than that, count me in. _________________ Maya: I'll just go up this thin tree to retrieve the plants at the top...Hang on... oh, shiiiii.....

To answer some of the questions:
Coming down on Friday?
If people want to come on Friday, your more than welcome to, however… the site wants an additional £100 for the Friday night, so if people want to pay an additional amount..! Then let me know if you want to come on Friday & I’ll divide the £100 by the number of people who want to come on Friday! (It is probably worth it for those people with a long drive, which is about 50% of the player base)
Clash with Synergy?
Maybe, I’ve no idea. I don’t have access to that board here at work to check.
But that is why I am asking whether people want to attend before I put money down as a deposit.
There will be some plot. Mostly political admittedly, but the idea is that everyone is there as a social role-playing event, who knows what may or may not happen, you’ll need to be there to find out.
As I said the site is being held for me for just over a week.
They have given me this time so everyone can decide whether they would like something before the end of March.
There is no pressure on people to come along or not.
But for some, it’s a chance to see people they haven’t seen for a while or are unlikely to see for a while (especially those who are pregnant and are less likely to come to a more physical event) and it’s a chance for those people who have dress uniforms to use them.
If there are any more questions, then let me know and I’ll try my best to answer them. Other than that a simple Yes, I’ll attend or No, I won’t be attending. I don’t want to put people under pressure, it’s a game and although there is the realistic/realism aspect of it, we’re all here to have fun (I know that’s why I do it).
Cheers
Dave.
Having just re-read this it appears to be a bit abrupt. So I’m adding this bit as a little explanation.
I don’t want people to feel they have to make up an excuse why they can’t attend, if you can’t make it you can’t make it.
It’s a different type of event for the players who can attend, being run by players who want to run events for others. Nothing more than that!
Also, if you can make it please let me know if you would be turning up on Friday (you’ll have to pay a bit extra) or Saturday
Cheers
Dave.

I'm prepared to pay the extra for friday so count me in.
As for SINergy, well, we usually have a hiatus in january owing to the new year and I wouldn't expect this to be any different.
TBH I have no problems with driving up straight to it afterwards anyway, I did the whole, get drunk the night before, get up late and then drive two and a half hours to the game thing last week so it's no biggie. If in extremis I have to choose, I'll take SG.
Just have to slim down to fit into a RM officers dress uniform (and then actually find one.) _________________ Maj. Richard A. Calvin (Royal (Space) Marines)
