I'm in the middle of house moving at the mo, thus my kit options are limited.
I'm training it, too.

Well we know about the alcohol, what are you bringing your kit in? _________________ Former CMO..

Hi,
This info will be e-mailed to all the players later on this evening, but please pass on the details
Thanks for booking onto the 1st Stargate LRP event of this year. Unlike all the previous Stargate LRP events the location of this one is set purely on Earth and although it is actually taking place in Wales, the event is set in Scotland. Also, it does not take a genius to work out that only Stargate personnel have been invited by the Brigadier, so you can assume what you like about why you have been invited for a meal so close to Christmas & New Year..!
Getting there:
Hensol Road, Miskin, Pontyclun CF72
Take the Llantrisant road (A4119) from junction 34 on the M4 and then at the second set of traffic lights turn left (B4264) to Miskin, take the first exit off the roundabout. Go along for about half a mile. Turn left again just after the old church on the left (there is a pub [Miskin Arms] directly in front of you), turn left again after crossing over the railway.
Anyway, there are a number of things you need to know, both in and out of character. Some of the out of character restrictions have an effect on the in character parts of the event.
IN & Out of Character Points
1 ) The first thing you should be aware of is that NO guns are allowed on site. This is a condition of the site and has been re-iterated to me by both the site administrator and the chairman of the Miskin Scouts and site committee on 2 separate occasions. It is also in the conditions of booking the site (see below for exact wording from the booking form and where the booking form can be found)
Booking Conditions for Hire of Miskin Mill Buildings & Campsite Facilities
8. We regret we cannot allow any of the following on site –Fireworks, Guns or Firearms, Dogs or Caravans.http://www.miskin.org.uk/mmsv/files/booking%20form%20-%20non.pdf
Anyone found with a gun of any description will be asked to lock it up in the boot of a car. A second incident will result in you being asked to leave the site.
2 ) You can arrive at the site on Friday from 3:00pm (15:00 hours).
There is no staged plot on Friday evening and Saturday morning. Official ‘TIME IN’ is 12:00 Saturday. In saying that it is entirely up to you whether you wish to play your character from the time you arrive until ‘TIME OUT’ at 12:00 Sunday. From time in until time out you must where your ID badges at all time.
3 ) There will be food provided throughout the weekend (Friday evening – Soup and Bread rolls, Saturday – light breakfast, light lunch and 3 course evening meal, Sunday – full English breakfast) with unlimited tea and coffee throughout. Due to budget restrictions there will be VERY limited evening meal drinks available (a glass of wine, 2 at most). So if you want to bring a bottle of wine/drink of your choice to accompany your meal, please feel free. There will not be any other drinks provided throughout the weekend.
4 ) The food is kindly being prepared by someone who does not role-play. She does not know anything about the weekend. Please do not ask her if she knows anything as the answer is no!
There will be NPC’s serving/acting as butlers, stewards, waiters, etc. do not abuse these people as they are not slaves for your amusement, please treat them with respect as they are giving there time for your enjoyment and if you push them to far… well lets put it this way they’re NPC has stat’s and if required they are 1 hit NPC’s… as in 1 hit, 1 vitality, 1 jammy bastard, 1 torture resistance, etc… MORE THAN IT TAKES TO PUT YOUR CHARACTER DOWN! Please don’t take the piss with them.
5 ) It is suggested that you bring 4 sets of clothing & footwear.
Day wear – whatever your character is likely to wear when they are not working
Wet wear – there is a VERY high likelihood that your character will get muddy & wet on Saturday afternoon, I suggest you bring combats/tracksuit/something warm (it is the 1st weekend of January).
Evening wear – dinner suit, evening dress (for those of you who want to dress as a woman..!), mess dress, etc. for the evening meal
Pyjamas/night shirt & dressing gown – In case you need to go to the toilet during the night (once again it’s the 1st weekend of January, at night..! it’s VERY likely to be cold..!)
6 ) It is going to be cold at night so please bring a warm sleeping bag/duvet (all sleeping is inside on bunks, unless your really want to bring a tent..!!!)
Your IC name will be written on one of the doors in the accommodation building, do not change rooms. Bunks are on a first come, first served basis.
7 ) The buildings need to clean before we hand them back. Please ensure that your room is clean and please offer a hand to clean up the rest of the site before you leave.
8 ) Please ensure you have your correct number of chosen skill cards (Comms, Hacking and Disposal) on you at all times..!
Specific In Character Points
1) The weekend will count as 1 mission with various scenes (just like an episode of the show..!)
So if you have any permanent feats (as in once per mission) they can be used once this weekend. So you must choose when you want to use your permanent feat..!
2) During the weekend you are required to visibly carry your ID on you at all times. See me (Dave) to collect your ID badge. Please bring the ID holder if you have it.
All UKSP personnel have white ID badges. The chef, butlers, stewards, etc are all UKSP personnel.
None UKSP personnel have a coloured ID badges, these people know nothing about the Stargate programme and should not be told anything about classified information (i.e. the Stargate, missions, aliens, etc) any breach of security will result in disciplinary action.
If you have any questions either give me a call (most people have my phone number) or wait until the event, but try and get all questions sorted out before time in.
See you there.
Dave. |
