HOT - The Effort put in by the organisers
NOT - The journey down south.
Hot - The large amounts of keen, well up for it crew. You were all stars
Not - The game slowed down a little on Sunday, and I heard afterwards that a lot of players were left sitting around, Although to be fair I believe this was all down to IC issues.
HOT - The more military theme, I actually like it a lot.
NOT - Civilian player characters being excluded, they have specialist skills and compliment the military characters IMO. From the very few episodes of SG I have scene civilians are considered valued members of the overall team. It's an IC thing though, so I guess it is a case of changing the culture IC.
HOT - The two hour fire fight on Sunday afternoon, amazing stuff from the crew, death screams, falling over injured. I think at the next main event I will bring offerings for them in the form of beer.
NOT - Cheating I saw..
HOT - A lot more IC conversations in the IC area. I noticed and was pulled into a lot less OOC stuff.
HOT - Team Welsey for being friendly and including me as a new member
NOT - Not having anything really to give the new medics to keep them included on their first event.
HOT - The Ice caves
NOT - The lack of lighting at night
HOT - The Friday night drop mission, made of win.
NOT - I think we might need more phys rep ammo knocked up. The initial concept of enforcing ammunition limits was to prevent players just shooting their way through non combat encounters. This has been proved to be a non-sensical argument again and again, with players interacting and getting deeply involved with non-combat plots. If it needs volunteers to make some I am happy to volunteer. Don't ger me wrong If there is a decent IC reason for us having a finite ammo supply great, I love it. otherwise it's just a bit toss.
Hot - the floating beasties, light thingys at night. Had a scary ethereal quality of them.
NOT - Losing my walkie-talkie charger.
Hot - Debbies loan of kit
NOT - The amount of percieved plot hogging that seemed to be going on.
NOT - Sunday afternoon keeping the gate locked out, preventing ten+ players doing anything. Seriously bad IC call whoever made it chaps.
NOT - Base security. Seriously it is a joke. Yes we are all really elite specialists. But we are on a mission and really Elite specialists I believe are very good at keeping their own camp secure. One person 'she' did loads, yes she. Well its an IC thing and good things happen to good people who prove they are capable of doing a shitty job...
Wesley we did our thing on the perimeter, got a kicking and I still feel that we pale in comparison..
Overall I had imense amounts of fun, and really happy I have joined the player base. Thanks all. _________________ Acting Lt. Col James Bryant

HOT – The vast amount of work that had been put in by the refs and crew
HOT – Props both for the monsters and players
Hot – The Doon family
Hot – Getting to go out on missions with different teams
not – Not really getting to go on a mission with the team I was assigned to
HOT –People being prepared to explain rules and generally help out a new player and making allowances when I inadvertently got things wrong.
Hot -Great event
Not –Sunday, too many people sidelined for the conclusion _________________ Captain Vernon Herbert,

Well here's my seriously good:
HOT - Leon, his other organising team & refs. You did a great job guys
HOT - Enthusiastic crew,
HOT - The weather, it was really kind to us.
HOT - Retaking the ice cave from the Ethernaughts single handed
HOT - Getting to play Jeremy for a bit & using the Sharps/Colts
HOT - The "tea" conversation between Jeremy & Jess & Izzy.
HOT - The new players
HOT - The props
HOT - The final firefight.
HOT - Getting the canvas palace up correctly... In the dark!
HOT - Much less general litter than previous games
HOT - More organised feel due to the Crichton factor
And the not so good
NOT - The site generator packing in
NOT - My generator breaking
NOT - Snapping out of character for much of Saturday evening.
NOT - A lot of OC noise from the crew area
NOT - Sidelining civvies due to the Crichton factor
NOT - Sloppy, sloppy base guard despite the Crichton factor
NOT - Very few willing to do gate guard or perimeter guard.
And the seriously pissy:
NOT Casual attitude of site bod - There's the generator, there's a cable somewhere, no instructions on use. No gas supply, kitchen outside door locked. Really poor service.
NOT IC actions running very late on Saturday night/Sunday morning apparently not under ref control.
NOT My staff physreps disappearing all of Sunday, again apparently not a ref approved piece of gameplay.
EDIT
MEGA HOT - Sorry I missed it first time round. Absolutely brilliant to see Dave back & looking fit& well again _________________ Colonel Thomas Thorne R.E. (Ret.) BSc, PhD, MC & bar

Well here's my Hot and Not take on Event 14:
Hot - All the organisation and effort by the refs, crew, etc. Absolutely superb job and a really easy event to play.
Not - Being bitten by all those bloody insects; I've got a dozen bites on each hand and wrist plus neck and head.
Hot - Emerging into an ice cave, that was awesome even for all the problems it brought with it.
Not - Not getting properly rested up on Thursday night and feeling shattered by the start of the event let alone by the end of it.
Hot - Merrick's brain in a jar and all the bizarre things it entailed, e.g. Kincaid stroking the jar and the hook up to Lil MALP.
Not - Having to tidy up on the Saturday morning after going to bed fairly early Friday night.
Hot - The don't engage in combat whilst on surveillance even though you could be fired at mission. Trust me it's more of a challenge not to shoot than to simply be outnumbered/outgunned/outclassed.
Not - Having to tidy up on the Sunday morning even though I'd left bin bags out for people to use on the Saturday.
Hot - Running through a gate Rich had dialled and realising it was mistake just 12 inches past the event horizon! More importantly the nerve racking minutes Kev and I had before chewing dirt as Wellesley ran through the gate after us.
Not - Being excluded from both finales on the Sunday, although it was enjoyable to play the audience at the talkie.
Hot - Realising I'd been excluded from the finales and deciding with Marc, Carl and Kev to initiate our own post event ship theft just before time out.
Hot - Blundering around in the dark avoiding pikeys and trying to hijack shuttles.
Hot - The new players, for being so enthusiastic and making me realise I do know something about the game.
Hot - Being referred to as "The Butterfly Man", thanks Leon it was priceless. _________________ Henry Pemberton
