Judging by the last event there seems to be a general misunderstanding on the effect of zats, namely do they ignore vitality and render a victim unconscious with one shot or can you soak a zat using vitality?
Without question anyone I shot, or witnessed being shot by a zat weapon at the last event imediatly became unconscious regardless of any vitality they had. One or two did comment that you can soak using vitality and therefore not become unconscious after your first hit. From reading of the rules I would agree with the latter.
Any thoughts? _________________ Dr Jason Andrews

The rules were changed for Zats in the latest rewrite from the traditional 1 shot you're down, to 'double', because they were just so powerful. Folks have either not read that bit, or forgotten. I know I did on event 10. _________________ Former CMO..

| Zats have always been soakable by vitality. It's just cos they seldom miss on the series people think otherwise |

I took a hit from a Zat at the weekend and went down like a sack of shit.
But then the crew person got the total drop on me and thought it was fairer (and cinematic) to take the hit than call a Jammy Bastard when I really couldn`t have been ready to dodge/ _________________ "Solve a man's problems with violence, help him for a day. Yes - that's what I would have done as well. _________________

If you roll around with a 20 year old I`d be more impressed. OK, jealous. _________________ "Solve a man's problems with violence, help him for a day. Teach a man to solve his problems with violence, help him for a lifetime." Belkar |
