ZOMG Prop!!I have just done the first tests on Jess' new toy for the next event and it is AWESOME!! It has even been tried and tested by my two year old and takes on plant pots without a scratch!!
It is times like this that I wish I wasn't trying to keep the actual prop a secret as I have pictures and everything!!!
I am gonna be squeeing about this all night...is it the event yet?!?!

Is it not just another Armalite variant?
Thus any M4 lookielikie will suffice?

yeap its a m4 look a like that fires, similar rounds to the desert egale .50
so lots of power at short range, but the drops off quickly from about 150 meters.
mostly designed to punch through and disable vehicles at road blocks
was shown on tv program future weapons

M4 platform with a stovepipe for a barrel and a huge flash hider, chambered for a rebated .50ae cartridge, in this case hot loaded with 600gr jacketed charging gribbly stoppers.
And on the compensation front, it's actually the shorter 12" version (it's all about the girth...)
And anyway it's not the main event, just a quick and dirty knock up with an off cut from the garage floor.
~looks at progress so far...~
Busy week ahead methinks.

Ooh you are making it? Respect brother! There was me thinking you had popped down to your local airsoft supplier.

All this talk of .50 cal, where's me copy of that M2HB drawing?
Maybe... but not for this event, got enough on rebuilding the M60 after somebody split the barrel 2 events ago. The trailer is still soaking up time too.

Practical Airsoft Do M2HB Kits for about £200 and plans for about £20. Was seriosly considering one till I got my hands on about 40foot of copper pipe, an old joystick and a starter motor.

Well airsharp had some great stuff, but they haven't responded to my emails in ages, which is a pain since they had some great replica feed chute for a really nice price.

What a wonderfull way to spend a gloriouse amount of money. Still, I'll have to keep the mini gun project as a pipe dream.
