Quick question regarding this rules chat forum and this thread seems to be the place to do it.
Is this forum being looked at anyone who runs the game or are we just talking / shouting into the void ?
Only ask as I have seen rule suggestion forums before that were largely/ totally ignored by the people running the game, which served mainly in confusing people as to what the actual rule was.
Im not opposed to talking but would like to know that its being looked at, feel free to flame me for being negative if you like as I don't really care if you do (:

I have no idea.
My personal view is that we have talked abour rule chances before but nothing has happened.
Talked about having the discussion and nothing has happened.
So lets actually do the talking get it off our chest.
If refs pick up on it and respond fine.
If we hear nothing lets write our own version of the rules and submit them to the people in charge. If they then decide to release a new version we then know where we are.
Talking at least means concerns get out there.

Right an update to this initial post on the thread, as of the ref meeting yesterday. Part of the ref meeting was essentially about the queries and comments people have kindly posted here.
A brief outline of what we decided.
There are going to be rules changes based on discussions we have all had on and off this board.
This is going to be in version 3.x of the rules.
There will probably be several revisions of the rules until the majority of people are happy with them.
Then there is going to be a version 4, and while there may be the odd addition, version 4 will be set in stone for a while. Rules need to evolve but there also needs to be stability as well.
Rules changes we are making are based on the following principles.
Game Balance
Keeping things simple
Looking at power creep
Stream lining.
With any luck we will have draught copies of the rules 3.x for download in the next week or two.
At the end of the next event, we look at em again and apply the same principles and of course feed back again. Until eventually we are all happy.
