Radio RallyThere's a "Radio Rally" a sort of super car boot sale for electronica, amateur/cb/pmr radios & all sorts of other esoteric stuff at Elvaston Castle, near Derby on June 10th. It's usually a good day out. Last time I went (some years ago now) there were kid's entertainments, a pig roast, jewellery & confectionery stalls, in fact "something for all the family".
Anybody interested in a day out?
I reckon on going to see what gubbins for proppage I can pick up to get away from the "alien widget no5, another PC motherboard, sprayed gold" syndrome. PC bit's are so recognisable for what they are.
In any case, I need a magnetron for my latest weapon......

Broiled Goa'uld, anyone?
edit
Seriously:
Anyone interested, look at http://www.elvastonrally.co.uk/
They have a craft tent, catering, children's entertainment, punch & judy, balloon sculpting & so on, a parade jazz band, Bourbon Street style as well as the geeky stuff.

Wow, I remember going to Elvaston rally years ago when I was Much Younger [tm].
*drowns under a wave of nostalgia*
Definitely a good day out, though, particularly if you possess even a smidgeon of a geek gene.
