Hmmm. Upgrades...How amenable are the System L-ahem, Refs to people creating their own Comms/Hacking cards with prior approval by themselves?
Love the hacking rules, want to add to them and to be able to pull out stuff that those flangers in Intelligence haven't seen before. Hehehe.

The issue of course being that there is a mathematical reason for each card and how it relates to the other cards - it would be possible to create a set of cards which could beat any six card problem. I know... I did it when I designed the spreadsheets to work out the cards.
There will be a couple of changes to the cards (nothing large - mainly an issue with the problem cards) - but players creating their own cards could cause issues due to the mathematical way that the system works.

Could this be done as a 'personal feat'?
As I recall the system has previously granted some characters their own feats (Harry's 'snake wrangler' and kibble's 'snake strike' come straight to mind).
Could a character who has an extensive computers / hacking background be granted one such card as a personal feat?
(Or does the new regime now do away with personal feats?)

As stated above the mathematics of it indicate that there is an issue with certain card combinations. Certainly I see no issue with it being a personal feat - but it would have to have downtime spent researching it - and of course will depend on the combinations on the card itself - but excepting those to, as a flavour thing I see no issues (at this time) - but bear in mind as the problem cards evolve and change the card/feat may indeed become redundant
Although who knew... nanites in Stephen Daniels were actually built for Windows

Yes. And Windows are meant to be broken.
*enjoyed that moment of Meldrew when Dave played that card immensely*
