Herofest / Heroquest LRP?Hi guys, just wondered if any of you hard-bitten, experienced lrpers have heard of or tried herofest?
http://www.live-roleplaying.co.uk/index.htm
A LRP system that I was planning on attending next month has collapsed, and these guys have bought up the old system's kit and are offering "a great intro deal for Herofest and/or Heroquest".
http://forums.rule7.co.uk/Topic58070-9-1.aspx
But as they're both bloomin miles away I thought I'd ask you guys for your experiences (if you have any)
Cheers

HeroQUEST not idea to be honest matey. HeroFEST is going to be runing for the first time soon. Although I think the fest is a solimmed down rules version of quest to be honest.
Sorry can't help more

If you fancy getting some sword swinging action on, I would recommend LOD as they are not too big and have an event every month.

They're not too far north for you either and you may see some familiar faces...

Yeah one of the things that raised my eyeborws about herofest was the statement that armour is merely costume it does not give any combat benefits at all.

yeah that bothered me too, which is partly why I was asking for views from other lrpers.

I have friends that used to go to heroquest. I believe one of the main problems with the system is the people running it but haven't played myself.
