Hi All,

Just a few things about the up and coming (far too quickly up and coming if you ask me!!!) event.

Any new & existing characters that where not at the previous event will be able to play at this event. They will however not start at time in (which I’m aiming for 7:30 – 8:00, if you are physically not there at time in then your character has been off doing… XXXX). Do not ask how these characters will be introduced as that will spoil things and neither I nor the other 3 ref’s for this event (Nick, Theo & Tony) are going to tell you.

You may bring with you any of the normal kit, tents, lighting, black boards, cuddly toys, food mixer, sliding doors, etc, etc. you may not have access to them straight away..! But wait and see..!

Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting a little about what is happening to you before time in. You may interact for that day (the in game day may last more or less than an 24 hour day) on that board, however once the day has moved on I will be locking that board and you will have to do it on a different day. Sorry for those people who can only gain access to the board infrequently, but if you want to do something based on what has been written, then e-mail me and I’ll try and including it in the event. I do not want you to go to any of the worlds that you have not already visited, if you need to please contact me. . And for the main I want everyone to stay as a group. If you want to go and do something please e-mail first and get a reply before typing on the board I’m going off to do ‘Y’. Don’t forget you would need the base commander to OK such a mission as well..!!! and if you go off world then you cannot interact with that board until you return (i.e. I tell you what happens and then you write up 'After a couple of hours team Z are overdue. An investigation team goes to the world they where going to and return immediately under heavy fire and having recovered the bodies of team Z!

Here are a few bits’ that need to be clarified:

At the last event there was a little bit of confusion, so I’m going to clarify timings.
Time in is Friday 6th July 7:30 – 8:00.
Time out is Sunday 8th July 4:00 (regardless of what trouble you have managed to get yourself into..!)
On Saturday morning between 3:00 and 9:00 many of the crew will be getting a few hours sleep. There will however be a few of the crew that will continue. There is no time out.
Sunday morning, the same thing between 3:00 and 9:00 many of the crew will be getting a few hours sleep.
I do not want people falling asleep at the wheel on there drive home.
As always anyone who wants to, can stay on the Sunday night (have a few beers or lots!!! – See the photo’s of Tony and fest buckaroo) and go home on the Monday is more than welcome to do so (they’re usually a good laugh and we get to see a challenger take on the current reigning champion (Lofty)...)

There was an issue of players just disappearing off site to go and get breakfast, shopping, etc, etc.
At this event, once time in is called, then do not leave the site.
On Saturday afternoon member of the crew will go to the Tesco’s and will get your shopping for you. So make a list and give it (and cash to cover the cost of your shopping) to one of the 4 ref’s before midday on Saturday. There is (if you don’t want to cook during the day) a burger van (doing breakfast rolls, etc) in the main Candleston car park from about 9:00am till about 4:00pm.
If you need to go off site for an emergency (breakfast, McD’s, shopping etc, are not emergencies!), YOU must see one of the ref’s (this does not mean get someone else to tell a ref). If you go off site and the ref’s do not know, then it is taken that your character has gone off somewhere and has met with a fatal accident! New character! NO EXCEPTIONS.

Having read the rule’s post myself and the other 3 sat down (in the comfort of a pub in Birmingham) and analysed the things that where written. Some of post where well thought out, some where not. As a consequence a few of the rules have been tweaked and many of the feats have been amended/clarified/added or removed. I’ll post the update on the website (www.stargatelrp.com) as soon as I can (please don’t start e-mailing me with questions about them until I have managed to put them on the site).
