Event 13 Unlucky for some - oooohhh its excitingWell the event is little more than a week away and I still haven`t built the Rancor costume (DOH).Directions etc to the site are below. Players - please don`t turn up at the site before 2pm on Friday as I`ll be setting stuff up. Crew - you`re welcome any time on Friday - hopefully you can help set stuff up. I`m looking forward to it (honest) and lets hope the weather is good. See you all soon Address – Candleston castle campsite, Merthyr Mawr Rd, Bridgend. CF32OLS Follow this link to get directions from your house directly to the site http://www.live-roleplaying.co.uk/larp/map.asp The Candleston site is in south Wales. It is 1.5 miles from bridgend. Take the M4 to junction 35. Turn left off of the slip road and go straight passing all of the superstores. When you pass KFC on your left the next landmark is a roundabout. At the roundabout turn left, then after passing a tearoom and pottery and the Pine shop on your left take the next right. It will be signposted Merthyr Mawr. Turn first left into Merthyr Mawr Rd and Candleston is at the very end of this road. The road ends in a car park and our site is through the left hand gate of the two. If you arrive after dark; look for lights through the trees. Please note this is a camping site so you will need tents and camping gear etc. Unless we are providing your food you will need camping stoves and equipment. We do have yurts for hire on site; contact Mark Roberts for more details. The site itself has good toilets and showers. Here is the link for the map. We did this to some poor unfortunate army cadets some years ago. The little mites found the Staff Sgt lying in a ditch with guts coming out of his shirt and promptly threw up all over him. Class! |

They should be out tomorrow Nigel - due to someone sending me a downtime which required me to read through four different wikipedia entries and have a degree in something other than computer sciences - I had to engage the services of a biochemist in writing some downtimes - hence the delay. |

Corn syrup (at a push maple syrup) Ribena and jelly make a reasonable subsitute ... (did that at a DH event for someone who had to delve into a corpse) | ||||||

Nah, thanks, ive already been to an event having Fay, Elf, Famor and a Warlord wrestling in Jelly and Cream.
After the offical warning we were told "NO, Family Event" and not to do it again on top of one person claiming we "Ruined his roleplay experience" First Rule of Jellyclub...........(well you know) Second Rule of Jellyclub be the bowl not the spoon. |

I think a poll would be good - if everyone went to a planet where there were disputes and gladatorial contests of skill with people wrestling in jelly and cream - apart from it being an obvious planet "Gladstone" would love - would people feel it ruined their roleplay experience if it was written with a logical reason. I recommend Sainsbury Basic Strawberry Jelly. 7 pence to make 0.5 litres So £14 for the Jelly and I`m sure I have a paddling pool somewhere. So this is doable - but better say so now before I pack everything. |
