Not technically event 13 L&F as it was lost a while ago, and just noted that it was absent prior to the event
Don't suppose anyone's found at a previous event (either Christmas or the very wet event prior to it) a very small black pistol, with brown hand grips. The sort of gun that would make a good small of back pistol, boot pistol, or hat pistol?
Thanks.

The m203 is probably mine. Does it have an innefectual poppered belt clip attached to it? No hurry to have it back if you are ok to hold onto it till the next one

Found a Binatone MR250 radio that had been left in the fort. It's dead, so maybe it was abandoned, on the other hand it could be just flat battery pack. Any claimants?

Right the radio i took to the event were EXACTLY the smae make and model as your nige, so its possible i have one of your, anyway we are going to tell?

Ah! not too sure about that. did you have three radios to start off with? They normally come in pairs with a dual charger. Maybe we could tell from serial nos. Mine is 175YCKAH26 June 25 2002. (look under the battery) If you've got one near that S/N it might be mine, especially if the other two are different.

Ah, that's brilliant. Next event will do fine Wayne. Don't waste your money on getting it lost in the post Thanks for tracking it down for me.
I still have a silver Binatone MR250, if anyone recognises it as theirs.
Cheers

It could be mine. I have 6 but only about 3 currently. I know Verity has one as she hoards radios. The others could be anywhere. Im not sure if it is though as I cant think who I might have lent it too

It was left on the table by the tipi in the fort, if that helps identify it. I'll bring it to the next game. we can sort it out then.

Allen, Cobra, Motorola. Avoid cheepies from Argos & the like. The spec may read exactly the same as a more expensive radio but they don't have the range & the squelch doesn't work as well. There are review sites online

There are usually good deals to be had on twin packs, especially if they include a charger.

whats squelch by the way?

Squelch suppresses the "white noise" that occurs when the radio is not picking up a transmission on the frequency it's set to. It saves you from having the sound of "frying eggs" in your ear whenever you're waiting for a call. Set too low, you get the frying eggs noise as a background to all conversations, set too high & reception will be "chopped" & sound like the classic comedians "faulty microphone" gag.

To set squelch, turn it all the way down, so you hear the static hiss, then turn it up slowly until it stops. You want squelch as low as possible without filling your lug with hiss.
Thus speaketh the cb user
