Event 12: HOT and NOTHOT
Being a team leader even if only briefly
Team Temple who rock hard
Communication breaking out all over the place, led from the top
Gate guards making their own entertainment
Molotov – you always know he will do something inappropriate you just never quite know when
Putting all the pieces of the puzzle together
Rob still reffing at 2am and beyond on Saturday
Therapy Daniels-style (sounds filthy; really wasn’t)
Lucky and Harrington and his big gun (sounds filthy; really wasn’t)
A really funny event – lots of humorous aspects to the plots and situations, quite apart from the ones we found for ourselves.
Getting to see everyone again and make some new friends
NOT
Site issues adding unnecessary stress all round
Oh no Manning!!
And Merrick!!!

HOT
Refs for being everywhere at once (and knowing stuff).
Crew for their effort in making the game work and really come alive.
A special mention for some of the lady crew for putting or being lucky enough to have to up with/enjoy my sexist and at time chauvinist abuse.
Charlamine for legging it when the battle got a little tough like a true French hero.
Players - with special mentions going out for JP, the wookies and of course my fellow team Boy-George members.
The cold and snow.
Dave Middleton epic feat blowing on Saturday night.
Kehoe/JD/Loftus
NOT
nothing of note ... possibly the neverending meeting of bordom
Thank You

HOT
The Crew - awesome stuff.
The Organisers - great pace and plot.
The Refs - always available.
The Players - brilliant role playing.
The Final Battle - absolutely bloody brutal.
The Newbies - talk about getting stuck in.
The Camaraderie - yet another reminder why this is my favourite LARP system.
NOT
Water unavailable at two different points during the event.
The removal of all cutlery, plates, utensils, pots, pans, etc from the site prior to our arrival.
The extreme pickiness of the person checking the cleanliness of the buildings at the end of the event. I thought having to reclean the player areas was completely excessive as they were in a decent state.
Dave being "misquoted" the price for hiring the site.
I hasten to add that all of the nots are the responsibility of the people running the site, and no one from the Society.
But none of the above dampened my enjoyment of the event. Thanks again to all concerned.

Hot and NotHot: (In no particular order)
The Crew - Hard working and dedicated with rarely a dull moment they brought the event to life. Special mention Shaun and the young lad whose name I STILL can't remember who played the majority of the bad guys on Saturday night and took the excessive enthusiasm of their beating without complaint.
Other players warm friendly and welcoming as always with a high degree of tolerance for a man who has the worst memory for names in christendom. Special mention to the wookees, the mad german scientist and the poor blighters who got Hazed on Friday night and yet didn't spit their dummies.
Missions - There is always something you can do, even if you have to make it up on the fly (Boar hunting on tiffin world, anyone?)
The refs - Diligent and patient with an ability to ad-lib that leaves me speechless. Special mention to JD who had to put up with my total lack of short term memory and bore it all with good grace (PS the Quote "If you die can I have your sterio?" that we were talking about on Sunday is by Jack in the episode "The enemy within")
Nigel - you know why.
Not:
Snow and cold - sorry to disagree with Molatov but I just hate the snow.
Site owners - gRRRRrRrR
As a final note thanks to everyone for making this a great event - I'm looking forward to June with baited breath.
PS - Molatov my surname is Middleton, not Milton (that's a bleach)
