Electrically Powered PropsOut of interest with regard to props that would ordinarily require electrical power do people generally use;
A/ non powered props (IE EG a real laptop but with no power hence a blank screen) and pretend its really working
B/Battery powered props
C/ or does the system use sites with mains electricity?
many thanks

From what I have seen, out in the field you would use battery operated props or just pretend, but in the buildings you can generally find a socket and plug in your lappie, ecg, etc

Excellent. That makes searching ebay etc so much easier!!

Although having said that do be aware that not all sites have power sockets on site.
For instance the next event at Candleston does not.

I was hoping to have a generator at Candleston - so some limited power. May have to change the plans though as I Dave was bringing his along but there`s no way I`m bothering him.

Well then, I'll not remove my ebay bid from the ECG, Xray machine, and Infra Red mass Spectrometer then...

On base I sometimes have a laptop on, out in the field is the (working) pda. I won't be bringing the laptop to Candlestone because I don't want sand in it, and at Candlestone sand gets in (almost) everything.
But yep, I do bring quite a few batteries. My charger is pretty much on all the week leading up to the event.

Ok - sounds like a mix of people using real working widgets, and others using widgets that are real but not working.
Groovy. As mentioned that helps in working out what props to look at purchasing, and what props to just outright ignore.
Many thanks.
