Called shot allows you to target a specific item or limb.

With Guns this is easy as you are aiming forf a specific location and don't him someone.

How would it work for hand to hand skills. If I hit someone on the body could I call "called shot leg"

You dont even need to hit them. Called shot and critical hit, feel free to pose and just yell it at them. You can hit them if you wish, and most people do, and do a lovely looking blow but no it is not necessary to actually make contact.

For bigger combats i would reccomend it, but for smaller fights you can do with out. weird but thats my intepretation of the rules. just remember though that if three people are wailing on somebody in hand to hand, a called critical hit is less likely to register, than one thaat has struck
