Broz's next project?

I saw this and imemdiatly thought that Either Broz or Cat might be the forst to make one for uKGC use.

It's apparently called a Lahti L-39.

I'd heard about these, I think they came from the fino-russian war, as the Russian were using tanks with paper for armour. But when the fin's side with the German in WWII they were obsolete 'cause of the KV1 and T34, still kick the crud out of the light tanks.....
Looks similar to the Japanese ATR, which had swiss roots.....(I think.....)

Shocked Hmmmm, maybe I should shut up now....... Rolling Eyes

Hmmm, depends on if he can get one in the car..

Just make it take apart Smile

Not really the way forward. That thing is ponderously heavy (over a hundred pounds, I believe). The 20mm round isn't that much more effective than the 14.5 mm of the Russian PTRS or PTRD & the Russian gun can be brought into action much faster & re targeted quicker, despite being single shot as opposed to the Finnish gun's 10 round mag.

I don't think either would stop an Abrams, Merkava, or Challenger. Might upset a death glider though, if you could lift it!!

I read the bit about shooting piilots with it and thought that Smile

I'd sooner use a Starstreak.

XM109 would be more practicable against grounded starships and gliders.

Though for maximum destructive potential try loading the minigun with armour pircing incediary...
sm0keyb

Mmmm, Starstreak!! Must work on that!
Richard Tyler

what you want is one of these bad boys http://www.samsungtechwin.com/pro...=73&cat_biz=DEP&cat_lev=D
with something meaty attached
Harry Font

if you wantto knock a death glider down with metal rather than a missile then you want a karl gustave firing flachet rounds !!

an 88mm shotgun...!!!

must aske if we cang get some out of storage.. might just be handy

what we really need is an 81mm mortar or a 120 and the ability to use it.. now that would give us an advantage.. Rolling Eyes

Yet Rolling Eyes

I could knock up a 81mm (ish) mortar if we want one?
bandit

About the same size as the team fungiod nuke if poss
Broz

Well the nukes are 120mm howitzer shell cases...this would lead me to next ask what do you need it for?

Best recomendation would be to either troll militaria fairs (none of the online stores i know turned up anything.)

Best way would probably to fashion one from somthing similar such as 110mm soil pipe.

A nuke capable mortar? The only one I can think of would be the russian M240 240mm towed mortar, bit big...

But I have drawn plans for an M30 4.2" mortar, will buy parts this weekend.....
Broz

Nuclear mortar? You think Highway could get a few of these out of mothball?
