To the members of Stargate LRP
Leon Smith, the treasurer of the Stargate LRP society, is currently struggling to provide sufficient time to his post due to time commitments outside of the game.
As such he has tended his resignation. In keeping with the constitution of the society an election will now be organised. However as this election will not be finished in time for monetary decisions to be made with regards the next event.
Therefore I am going to take over the position on a temporary basis, effectively resigning as secretary.
As I intend to stand for treasurer full time I will not be able to act as returning officer in these elections therefore Dave Little has agreed to do it. He wil provide a method of contact once he returns frrom his holidays on the 12th fo August 2008.
To this end nominations for positions of both Secretary and Treasurer will open on the 10th of August 2008, nominations close on the 24th of August 2008 with voting completed on the Sunday of the next event on the 7th of September 2008.
I would like to thank Leon for all his work in helping start up the society and hope he finds enough time to come back and play the game later.

Apologies for the dealy but there have been some email problems that needed sorting out frist.

one thing to remmeber is
When an election is to take place for any officer post, society members will be informed of the procedure for nomination as a candidate at least 2 weeks before nominations close. A candidate must be nominated and seconded by two members of the society, neither of which may be the nominee. The nominee must agree to the nomination.
