The rules state that this can be used on an 'unresisting opponent'.
Is an opponent who is unaware of our presence to be considered unresisting?
ie having sneaked up behind a jaffa gaurd, can I legitimately call 'Killing Blow'?
If so, can it be Lucky'd or Jammy'd? _________________ My Livejournal | My myspace | My Photobucket |

I interpreted that to mean targets that had allready been sudued/Incapacitated/Zatted etc, but not nesseserily restrained (they are still resisting), or "Stealth" attacks, other wise the feet would just be far to powerful, imho. _________________ Captain Troy O'kief, USAF (SGC)

Its one of those skills that comes down to common sense at the time. If you can ninja* up behind someone and totally get the drop on them I can't see a ref not giving it to you. As for can you lucky/ jammy bastard the call, yes as thats kinda the point of the skill, but again it would be down to the concience of the players.

I didnt think you could Lucky Killing blow.
Killing blow drops the target to -5 irrespective of Body/Armour/superpowers etc
Lucky/jammy prevents damage.
sorry rules laywers stuff:
| Jammy ba*tard wrote: | This enables the character to dodge out of harms way and take less damage from a blow. You negate four points of
damage from any one damage call (only one Jammy or Lucky Bastard can be used per damage call)
Special Note – If used to dodge out of the way of a “Sniper Shot” feat you go immediately to 0 body rather than -4
body |
| Killing blow wrote: | This feat can only be used once.
An unconscious, restrained or unresisting character may be killed by a character with unarmed combat, or by a
single shot to the back of the head. |
| Damage rules wrote: | | -5 DEAD |
therefore Jammy/lucky cannot save you from a killing blow as it does no damage. by the RAW.
obviously this may need to be tightened up by the System refs.
after my last rules rant and the inadvertent offence it caused, i've decided to stay out of such things. _________________ Logan Bishop |

Yes, you're right Dom - Killing Blow has to be used on an unconscious, unresisting or restrained character, it's not good enough just to walk up behind someone quietly..
Since otherwise every sniper shot (or even worse, a called shot to the back of the head with a sniper rifle) would be a killing blow since no-one would know that was coming either.
